Doughnut Vault Specials Calendar 9.11.12 - 9.15.12
We’re starting this fine September week off with the playful and always fun birthday cake doughnut as our special. Next up is pistachio. Thursday we’re getting tropical with the pineapple old fashioned as our special. Friday it’s the mouth watering roasted almond glazed doughnut to start your day off right. And the weekend gets going with double chocolate old fashioned for all the chocolate lovers out there. Hope to see you at the Vault.
I will definitely be there on Tuesday! The Birthday Cake doughnut is one of my favorite!!!
NOTD: Revlon’s Fierce.
Thia nail polish is ah-mazing! It is purple with silver glitter. I really love wearing this polish color when I want something a little shimmery but not a full on glitter polish. Plus, the Revlon polishes are ridiculously amazing! Same high quality as the more.expensive brands. The only problem is that I don’t think their color selection is very extensive…but that’s ok. (:
I hope you all had a happy, safe and wonderful thanksgiving! I am out in Cali visiting my sister and brother-in-law. And today is my birthday! I am so glad that I get to spend it out here where the weather is perfect!
Tumblr post on the fly!
I am in the airport waiting for my flight to Denver to board. To keep my lips nice and hydrated (and super cute!) I am using my new Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake. I am so glad I finally got mt hands on these little guys. (:
This is not a color I would normally use, but since the consistency of the Lip Butters is not as opaque as typical lipstick, I feel more comfortable wearing a brighter color.
What the what? Check out this video! It is awesome, and shows 25 ways to wear a scarf. I want those scarves…
Which is your favorite way to wear a scarf? I think I’ll be trying these out over the next few weeks!
Birchbox Man is finally here and available for purchase! This limited edition box is packed with products for skin, hair, and everything else for just $45 (the total value is roughly $240, so it’s a pretty amazing deal).
Click through to place your order, and definitely don’t wait. Supplies are limited and it’s free shipping!
Let’s talk about “Community”. Specifically, let’s talk about what we can learn from history about whether or not it’s a wise decision to pull a show like “Community” from the mid-season schedule.
Once upon a time there was an American television sitcom that was unique, quirky, and something…
YUM!! So…I want to make these. Have you guys heard of Joy the Baker? I love her blog! And her recipes are the bomb-diggity. Seriously, go to her website and read all of her posts. Now—-do it!
Here are my nails today! I used my Zoya nail polish in Noel from my November Birchbox!! I also decided that I wanted to throw some pink in there, so I put Do You Think I’m Tex-y from OPI’s Texas line on my ring finger. (Side Note: When I have an accent nail, I almost always put it on my ring finger….is that weird?)
Anyways, I absolutely love Zoya nail polishes! They last super long and the color formulation is always superb. I only have 2 coats on my nails, and it color probably would have been completely opaque with only 1 coat! On their website, Zoya puts their polishes on a opaqueness scale of 1 to 5. Which is really nice, because I hate when I buy a polish and swatch it only to realize that it is super sheer. Noel is a 5 on the scale, so it has amazing coverage.
And Do You Think I’m Tex-y is my favorite pink sparkly nail polish of all time! The only downside is that it is pretty sheer, so it take 3-4 coats. I have 4 coats on my nail in this picture. The wear is average—nothing to write home about.
Finally, I’ve been experimenting with different ways to photograph my nails. I finally think I’ve settled on whatever book I’m reading at the moment as the background. So at the bottom of every post, I’ll put the book information just in case you want to know what I’m reading!
